All order must go through the Secure Shopping Basket, we are unable to accept Telephone, emailed or Posted orders. Card details can be phoned through, during the times shown in the Shopping Basket, after you have ordered via the Shopping Basket - please do not leave your card details on our answering service, please do not email your card details. We reserve the right to cancel any order for any reason.
After you have found an item you wish to order please put the number of items you required in the quantity box. If there is a drop down box for the quantity, the largest number in that drop down box is the amount we have in stock. Please do not order more than the largest number, or order that amount more than once, as it will delay your order. Where there is a drop down list for additional options, please choose an option, then hit the Add button next to the item. You will be taken to your Shopping Basket where you can view and change the quantity of each item you have added (click the Update button after making any changes) but please do not order more than stated we have in stock (if shown) as it will delay your order. You can delete an item by clicking the Remove Button next to that item. If you want to go back to the same page just use the Continue Shopping button or for some items you can click the item you have just put in the Shopping Basket. You can get to any other page via the links in the Top Navigation Bar.
You can view your Shopping Basket at any time by clicking the Basket link on the Top Navigation Bar.
When you have finished shopping please hit the Checkout Button in the Shopping Basket and fill in your Address and Card Details. More detailed instructions on using the shopping basket can be found on our How to Shop Page.
You will be sent confirmation of your order by email straight away - this is the only receipt showing the items that you will receive. If you do not receive one please let us know ASAP as your email address may be wrong. Please check your receipt and let us know by email if something is wrong - mistakes are much harder to correct later.
If there is a problem on the receipt we can amend or add items to an order, but only before it has been processed by the Office, so please check your receipt straight away.
Please double check your address and postcode as Royal Mail need this to correctly delivery your parcel. If you have not put the correct address, and the parcel goes missing, Royal Mail may not pay you compensation. If you are using an Automatic Form Filler please double check it has entered the correct things in the right fields, your order will be delayed if your address is incomplete while we contact you.
The email receipt includes a link to your account where you can view the order, see where it is in our system, see any problems there may be with the order and see the date it is posted.
We will notify you as soon as possible if we are out of stock giving you the choice of waiting till the items come in stock, amending the order or cancelling and re-ordering. This will extend the delivery times stated. We are unable to send orders in two parts for various reasons. *All dates and times shown on this website are subject to stock availability.
We will email you when the parcel has been posted - this is usually a maximum of 3 working days (UK only) of us receiving the order unless it contained a Pre-order item or a delay is noted in the shopping basket. All items in an order containing any item marked Pre-order may not be sent until the Pre-order item is in stock - please take a look at the Pre-order Details Page for more information. Usually the days stated in the Shopping Basket for the Card Payment opening hours are the days we get Royal Mail pickup. The last time for ordering for sending out on those days (UK only) is 1.30pm - unless there is a delay noted in the shopping basket or the order contains a Pre-order Item. Please note that any times stated may be extended during certain periods such as Bank Holiday weeks, Christmas and New Year. Please check the Basket Link for more details.
All prices include UK VAT and we reserve the right to increase prices if the standard VAT rate should increase.
Whilst CPU Enterprises strive to provide accurate information on this website, it assumes no responsibility for accuracy. All images and yarn details are intended as a guide only. We make sure the pictures of items shown on the website are as accurate as possible, however the colours you see will depend upon your monitor settings, therefore we cannot guarantee that your monitor will display the colours correctly. The term "book" refers to any collection of patterns which have a card cover and paper pages, it does not imply a hard back book.
These terms and conditions may be amended at any time without prior notice by us. Please check this page every time you order to ensure you continue to abide by them.
All orders for delivery within the UK will incur a maximum postage
and packing cost of £3.80. If you only order Pattern Leaflets, Books,
Loopas or certain accessories, the postage and packing cost is reduced
up to certain limits. The Shopping Basket will update automatically but
the following can be used as a guide. Up to 11 Pattern Leaflets the P+P will be £2.65
(UK only). Up to 3 Pattern Books, Loopas or some accessories the P+P
will be £2.65 (UK only). Any items over these limits will be charged at
the maximum P+P of £3.80 (UK only). If you put a mixture of Books,
Loopas, Patterns and accessories in your shopping basket, the postage
will change to £3.80 before the above limit. For more information on
this please see our
UK P & P Page. Postage and Packing on orders over £40 for delivery within the UK will be
Free. The shopping basket will automatically update when you get to this amount.
If you are outside the UK you will receive a shipping quote email, please
see below.
UK includes the Channel Islands, Northern Ireland and all Scottish Islands classified within the UK by Royal Mail.
UK Orders are usually processed and posted within a maximum of three working days of DKY receiving the order (subject to stock availability) depending upon the time of year. Please note this may be extended during certain periods which are usually noted in the Shopping Basket. We always send an email to you to let you know when your parcel has been posted, this is so you can keep an eye out for your postman.
The warehouse is not open on Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays so orders cannot be posted on these days. We are sorry but we cannot offer a guaranteed next day service at the moment as we have a maximum of 2 Royal Mail pickups a week. Usually the days stated in the Shopping Basket for the Card Payment opening hours are the days we get Royal Mail pickup. Please order before 1.30pm on those days for the best chance of your order being posted on those days (UK only).
All orders to be shipped outside the UK will be charged full Royal Mail Airmail postage plus a
small admin charge to cover packaging etc. Customers outside the UK are responsible for any charges, including taxes and customs charges, that may be applicable to the delivery. Non-UK Orders are sent by
Royal Mail Airmail and may take 5 to 10 working days from the time we send it. The time taken for delivery after we send your parcel is in the hands of Royal Mail and your local Mail Delivery Company. We do offer a Tracked Option when we email you the shipping costs
for some countries, you do need to make it clear when you reply that you require the Tracked Option or your parcel will be sent
by Standard Airmail.
Due to the nature of our goods it is difficult to establish Non-UK postage costs until the parcel is ready to send. We will always email you final costs prior to sending the order, giving you the option to cancel, unless you have stated otherwise in the Message Box. Your parcel will not be posted, and your Card will not be charged, until you email a reply to that shipping quote email
agreeing to the delivery costs - please note this will extend the delivery time.
You can find more information on our
Non-UK Shipping & Packing Costs Page.
Any order containing a Pre-order item may be delayed as noted on the webpage it was ordered from - please take a look at our Pre-order Details Page for more information.
We will email you to say your parcel has been sent, so that you know to keep an eye out for your parcel. You can also see when we have posted it via your account which you can get to using the link in your email receipt.
The time taken for delivery after we send your parcel is in the hands of Royal Mail. Most UK parcels are sent by Royal Mail Second Class and should get to you within a couple of working days after we post it. Larger UK parcels (over 2kg) may be sent by First Class or may be sent in two separate Second Class parcels at our discretion, however P+P would only be charged once. We will let you know which when we email you to say the parcel has been posted. UK parcels include a number which you can use to to check the delivery of your parcel on the Royal Mail Website which we can email you on request.
If you have not received your UK parcel within 7 days of us emailing you that your parcel has been sent, please check at your local Royal Mail Office first as it will probably be sitting there waiting for you to collect it. Royal Mail should leave a card if they try to deliver while you are out but do not rely on this. Undeliverable parcels are usually held there for a couple of weeks before sending back to us, so you must ring them within that time scale. You must keep a record of the number, date and time that you rang them, and the name of the person you spoke to. Please Note - these times may be extended due to the Royal Mail Strikes.
If the parcel is returned to us as 'non-deliverable' we will incur extra postal charges which will have to be passed on to you to re-send the parcel. So please do keep an eye out for your local Royal Mail Postman and check with your local Royal Mail Office to avoid this.
If you have not received your UK parcel 15 working days (3 weeks) after sending, you can claim for non-delivery from Royal Mail. There is a form on the Royal Mail website you can use to claim and we will give you as much help as we can. We cannot be held responsible for items
lost or damaged in the post by Royal Mail. There is also a claim form for damaged goods on their website. This time scale is extended to 20 days for Europe and 25 days for the rest of the world.
If you know you will not be at home (working, holiday, etc.) we can send your parcel to a different delivery address to your Card Holders address. However if your delivery address is different to the Card Holders Address you will need to tick the box in the shopping basket to add your Card Holder Address to the Shopping Basket. We take Card Payments using Square and they now ask for the Card Holders Address for Security Checks. The Card Holders Address cannot be a PO Box, if you wish your parcel to be sent to a PO Box you must tick the box and add your actual physical address to the shopping basket.
Please Note - We are not able to give your local Royal Mail Postman instructions on what to do with the parcel if you are not at home. However you could contact your local Royal Mail Office to see if they offer a Safe Parcel Scheme in your area.

Cancellation policy & returns procedure
The Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 (CCR) allow you a cooling off period. This means you have the right to cancel your whole order within 14 calendar days from the day after you receive the goods without giving a reason. You must email us at , or fill in the Cancellation Form, before you send the parcel back as you will need a Return Code. No returns can be accepted without prior contact and agreement. All goods must be returned to us in an unopened and unused condition within 14 days of receipt with the Return Code on the outside of the parcel, using a recorded delivery service, at your own cost. This is for you own protection as we cannot be held responsible for goods that don't arrive. Please see the Contact Details below for the return address. A refund of goods will be made to your Credit or Debit Card, or a Credit Note raised, within 14 days of CPU Enterprises receiving the goods back in a suitable condition for reselling*, assuming the above conditions have been followed. Special Offers, Discontinued yarns or colours, End of Line, Pre-orders, Special Orders, Books and Pattern Leaflets are non-returnable under any circumstances. *Items received back which are not in a suitable condition for reselling because of smoke smells, dog hairs etc. will not be deemed to have been returned under CCR (see below).
The cooling off period does not apply to businesses, traders or if you are re-selling the goods in any way. Therefore, if you put anything in the Company Name in the Shopping Basket, it will be assumed you are a business and the CCR would not apply.
Please note we cannot accept part orders back under the CCR. Any items returned which do not comply with the CCR will be charged a 15% (with a minimum of £1.00) handling and re-stocking fee. However we reserve the right not to accept returns after the 14 days. No returns will be accepted without prior contact and agreement as you will need a Return Code for the outside of the Parcel. Any parcel without a Return Code on the outside of the parcel will be refused by the Office and sent back to you by Royal Mail. A credit note equal to the cost of the returned goods, minus any fees, will be raised for use on your next order. We will email you with the details you will need to put into the Vouchers Section in the Shopping Basket or a web page with more instructions. It is up to you to claim the credit note - there is usually a 1 month expiry on all Credit Notes but occasionally this is extended on request.
CPU Enterprises take the utmost care in ensuring you get what you order. If however any items received are not what was ordered or are faulty, you must notify us by emailing within 7 days of receipt.
All of the above do not affect your statutory rights.
If you have any queries or complaints regarding our products or services please contact us by emailing us at
We will send an acknowledgement within 3 working days and strive to address any problems within 10 working days - unless your email is deemed to be spam, we then reserve the right not to reply. These times may be extended during certain times.
